Title: Czechoslovak hydroplanes in Yugoslavia 1927 - 1938
Post by: Marcel on June 14, 2012, 07:27:45 pm
Hi friends.

I prepare book about Czechoslovak hydroplanes.
Please, do you have some information and photos about these hydroplanes in Yugoslavia?
During years 1927 - 1938 Czechoslovak army had special air group (detachement) in Kumbor. This group had for disposal Czech hydroplanes Aero A.29 (1927 - 1936) and Letov S.328v (1936 - 1938) and used these aircraft for cooperation for tests of Czechoslovak anti-aircraft guns Škoda.
I have interest for information and photos about hydroplanes Saunders Roe A.19 Cloud (OK-BAK) of Czech airlines (ČSA) which was used on line from Zagreb to Sušak and Dubrovnik also.

Thanks for your help.

Best regards, Marcel Kareš from Czech Republic.

Hi.

Many thanks for first reply for my questions. I know these two nice photos. I saw them some years ago on Croat modelar forum: http://www.maketarstvo.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1300&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=saunders+roe++cloud&start=15

Both photos were taken in Split. Exist some concrete information where exactly?

And I have another question. Exist some detailed information or photos from visit of English aircraft carrier HMS Courageous in Boka Kotorska / Yugoslavia in 1928?

Thanks, Marcel.

Thanks again.

Some time ago I studied this link. Unfortunately on this link are (I think...) information about visit of HMS Courageous in 1929 and 1933 only. In the September of 1928 Czech airmen from air detachement in Boca Kotorska (Kumbor) visited this English aircraft carrier.

Exist some technical and another information about Yugoslav ship Zeta - please see on attached picture?

Hi friends.

To: marvin

I have this very interesting book about Yugoslav naval air force 1918 - 1941. In the year 2010 I published book about Czech aircraft Letov Š.16 and there was chapter with many photos a and colour profile about float´s version of this type - Letov Š.16J for Yugoslavia. Than I was in contact with mr. Danijel Frka and I gave to him some photos of this type and another Yugoslav hydroplanes for his another part of this book. Unfortunately Mr. Danijel Frka wrote that he hasn´t any another photos of Czech hydroplanes in Yugoslavia (who knows ....).

Do you have some from you the book:

- Mario Raguž, Povijest letenja dubrovačkog kraja, U gnijezdu ljepote,

On pages 80 - 83 are some information about Czech Saunders Roe A.19 Cloud (OK-BAK).

1) Please, do you know some from you contact on author of this book Mr. Mario Raguž?
2) Please, could you some from you make scans of pages 81 and 83? On these pages are photos of this Czech hydroplanes.

Thanks for your possible help.

Marcel.

To nije tačno. Izradila jih je firma Shoth Broth. iz VB i metalne su konstrukcije.
