Na teritoriji sadašnje Libije ni danas nema železnice, a Egipatska železnica (izgradili je britanci) dopire samo do granice sa Libijom. Takva ista pojava (jak južni vetar i peščana oluja) postoji i u Egiptu, ali njima u govornom jeziku pojam ''ghibli'' nije poznat.
