Zvuci svemira.

Space becomes “sonified” in this visualization of a cluster of galaxies imaged by NASA's Hubble Space Telescope. Time flows left to right, and the frequency of sound changes from bottom to top, ranging from 30 to 1,000 hertz. Objects near the bottom of the image produce lower notes, while those near the top produce higher ones. Most of the visible specks are galaxies housing countless stars. A few individual stars shine brightly in the foreground. Stars and compact galaxies create short, clear tones, while sprawling spiral galaxies emit longer notes that change pitch. The higher density of galaxies near the center of the image — the heart of this galaxy cluster, known as RXC J0142.9+4438 — results in a swell of mid-range tones halfway through the video. Hubble's Advanced Camera for Surveys and Wide Field Camera 3 acquired this image on Aug. 13, 2018.

A team of astronomers have found EGS77 — the farthest galaxy group known to date! This trio of galaxies is transforming the dark, light-quenching early universe into the one we observe today.

Ne sećam se da li sam postavio neke fotografije iz Stanice Mir u Muzeju kosmonautike u Moskvi.
Ako sam duplirao izvinjavam se.

In 2015 astronomers successfully predicted the appearance of a supernova within a couple weeks.

This video zooms into the barred spiral galaxy NGC 2525, located 70 million light-years away in the southern constellation Puppis. Roughly half the diameter of our Milky Way, it was discovered by British astronomer William Herschel in 1791 as a "spiral nebula." The sharpness of the image increases as we zoom into the Hubble view. As we approach an outer spiral arm a Hubble time-lapse video is inserted that shows the fading light of supernova 2018gv. Hubble didn't record the initial blast in January 2018, but for nearly one year took consecutive photos, from 2018 to 2019, that have been assembled into a time-lapse sequence. At its peak, the exploding star was as bright as 5 billion Suns.

Dve najveće planete Sunčevog sistema, Jupiter i Saturn, 21. decembra će biti najbliže jedna drugoj još od srednjeg veka, tačnije od 4. marta 1226.

Saturn and Jupiter will be within ONE eyepiece field of view in December! Find out how to see these planets, and what preparations you need to make to capture them via astrophotography too. See what's up in the night sky every week with "Eyes on the Sky" videos, astronomy made easy.
