Na vojnom poligonu kod Slunja otvorena MVV "Immediate response 12"

Na vojnom poligonu "Eugen Kvaternik" kod Slunja, danas, u subotu,  26. svibnja, održana je ceremonija otvaranja međunarodne vojne vježbe "Immediate Response  12"  koja se održava do 9. lipnja 2012. godine. Na vježbi sudjeluje više od 700 pripadnika oružanih snaga, većinom iz Republike Hrvatske i Sjedinjenih Američkih Država, te pripadnici OS Albanije, Bosne i Hercegovine, Makedonije, Crne Gore, Slovenije i Srbije.

Vježba "Immediate Response 12" provodi se s ciljem promicanja regionalne stabilnosti i sigurnosti te jačanja interoperabilnosti između članica NATO-a i partnerskih zemalja. Ceremoniji otvaranja vježbe na vojnom poligonu "Eugen Kvaternik" nazočio je zapovjednik HKoV-a general bojnik Dragutin Repinc koji je tom prigodom istaknuo kako je vježba osmišljena da bi se unaprijedila zajednička interoperabilnost savezničkih i partnerskih nacija i unaprijedila priprema sudionika za uspješno djelovanje u združenom, multinacionalnom i integriranom okružju. Također, svečanosti otvorenja vježbe prisustvovali su i direktori vježbe s hrvatske i američke strane brigadiri Ivan Turkalj i Andrew R. Heppelmann, te  zapovjednik Središta za borbenu obuku brigadir Ivan Jurilj, a na svečanosti otvaranja upriličeno je i postrojavanje sudionika vježbe iz oružanih snaga SAD, Hrvatske, Albanije, Bosne i Hercegovine, Crne Gore I Slovenije, te promatrači iz Makedonije i Srbije.

Inače, vježba "Immediate response" je dio združene obuke i vježbi Zapovjedništva američkih snaga za Europu - EUCOM (United States European Command) i Zapovjedništva kopnenih snaga za Europu (USAREUR -United States Army Europe). Vježba se provodi prema zamišljenom scenariju, a osim kopnenih snaga u vježbi će sudjelovati i pripadnici HRZ-a i PZO-a, BSD-a te ZzP-a.

Prezentacijski dio vježbe predviđen je 6. lipnja, na Vojnom poligonu "Eugen Kvaternik" Slunj.

Cic po mic došli su promatrači. To je prvi korak. Ostalo će se realizirati po postavljenoj dinamici. Za 2-3 godine Srbija će biti član NATO -OTANA.
