Posle 10. godina razvoja kako navode indijski zvaničnici, ponos Indije - napredni multirole avion 4. generacije ulazi u upotrebu. Nakon mnogobrojnih letnih ispotivanja biroa HAL poleteo je i navy-Tejas. Origirinalan avio dizajn, moderna elektronika zapadnog porekla i velika delta krila sa odlično izvedenim strejkovima u korenu krila stopljeni sa trupom daju mu odlične letne perfomanse. Više tehničkih detalja o ovom avionu vidi se u
video prilogu mada ću vremenom dostupne tt. karakteristike istog izneti opširnije kasnije.

Planirana je proizvodnja oko osamdeset aviona za indijsko vazduhoplovstvo kao neuporedivo modernija zamena za vremešni Mig-21. Dvadeset primeraka je namenjeno indijskom mornaričkom vazduhoplovstvu kao dopuna odličnim palubnim Mig-29K. Na prvom video klipu odlično se vide, putem slideshow-a, najbitnije TT karakteristike aviona, a interesentan je i video klip sa ispaljivaljem rakete V-V AA-11 Archer (jako usporen snimak).

Indijski mediji javljaju da će indijski motor biti spreman za ugranju u LCA tek 2018. godine, do tada će koristiti GE-404.

The Kaveri engine, a Rs.2,000 crore project, is being developed by one of the DRDO labs based in Bangalore, the Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE).

Test runs of the first complete prototype Kaveri began in 1996.

However fed up by the delay in fully developing the engine, the defence ministry shelved its plans to build a fighter aircraft.

The Kaveri engine project got revived in 2006 following a joint venture formed between the DRDO and French company, Snecma, an engine-maker, to jointly develop it to fit in the LCA.

Uistinu-to je LCA od glave do pete:
duzina                  13,2 m
raspon                   8,2 m
tezina-prazan       5450  kg
prosecna poletna   9530 kg
nosivost korisnog tereta cca 4000 kg
V/max                  M 1,8(dosada je dogurao do M 1,4) cekaju se ojacani GE404
 Indijci su svojevremeno bili odusevjeni sa lakim lovcima Gnatt,pa izgleda odtad idu tim putem Advanced LCA,ali ma koliko bio dobar Tejas moxe biti samo dopuna u strukturi IAR.

Za sada je potpisan ugovor za 40 aviona. To je ustvari drugi ugovor, za 20 aviona. Prvi je bio za isto toliko.

DRDO je objavio da je izabrao F414-GE-INS6 da pogoni LCA Tejas Mk-II. U konkurenciji je jš bio i Eurojetov EJ200 koji pogoni i Eurofightera. Odlučeno je da se kupi 99 motora i sada će uslediti pregovori oko detalja ugovora, a postoji mogućnost i licencne proizvodnje, što je Eurojet i sam nudio od početka naglašavajući da je spreman da ustupi i najmodernije tehnologije za proizvodnju monokristalnih lopatica turbine.
Ova odluka je zanimljiva i iz perspektive tendera za nabavku novih borbenih aviona indije poznatiji pod nazivom MMRCA, iz razloga što varijanta ovog motora F414 pogoni i dva učesnika tendera - F/A-18E/F i SAAB-ov JAS-39 Gripen. Nagađa se da bi postojanje proizvodne linije ovog motora u Indiji moglo da natera indijske vlasti da se odluče za jedan od ova dva aviona i smatraju da poslednja odluka vezana za motore daje prednost ovim avionima na tenderu.

- Mišljenja sam da  LCA-TEJAS zaslužuje više pažnje.
- Aerodininamički Tejas ima unikatno rešenje "sečenih strejkova" napadnih ivica krila u korenu pod uglom od 45.stepeni, koja avionu omogućavaju manevarbilnost i sigurno opstrujavanje vazduha duž ose aviona pri velikim napadnim uglovima.

- U startu osmiššljen da ga putem kooperacije sa SNESMOM-Larzac  pogoni - HAL-ov - KAVERI - GTX-35VS, prve varijante dobijaju  GE- F404, kasnije se ulazi u ragovore o F-414  koji pogoni JAS-39 Gripen kao i F-18 Super Hornet.

- Novo svetlo na konačnu pogonsku grupu daje tender MMRCA, gde su u najužem izboru i jedini preostali od slilnih ponuđaća Eurofighter i Dassault Rafal. Indija očigledno ima "višak novca " kada je u pitanju investiranje u naoružanje i avijaciju, te me nebi čudilo da u budućnosti kao pogonsku grupu LCA-TEJAS vidimo EJ-200 koji pogoni i Eurofighter radi unificiranosti, mada Indija navodi da ne odustaje od daljeg razvoja motora KAVERI.

- Moderna avionika, aerodizajn, svestreano naoružanje ...daju više nego solidnu sliku o LCA-TEJAS. Na salonu - Aero-Indija 2011 imao je više nego odličan nastup.

- Prilično zbunjuje tolika šarolikost modernih svetskih aviona kako sa zapada , tako i sa istoka. ( Od Miraža 2000 i aktelne modernizacije, MIG-29K Navy, MIG-29-UPG  namenski razvijanog za Indiju, SU-30MKI, Sea-Hariera, Sepecat Jaguar, Hawk ... , da neširim dalje). Koliko  svestranost  ima pozitivnih strana, istovremeno zahteva i snažnu HI-TECH - Know-How zemalljsku potporu. Kada se u zaista dugi indijski tender MMRCA za 126 novih multirola doda i naruđbina LCA-TEJAS dobija se verovatno najšarolikija avio  flota na svetu.

- Indija očigledno ide rezonom: "ima se, može se" !

- Kada je u pitanju LCA - TEJAS još je u situaciji da bira modernu pogonsku grupu.

- U prethodnim postovima naveo sam R-60 na krajevima krila LCA-TEJAS i dužan sam da se korigujem. U pitanju je još modernija R-73 .
- Istorijat i tt. karasteristike LCA-TEJAS :

 - The Tejas single-seat, single-engine, lightweight, high-agility supersonic fighter aircraft has been undergoing flight trials in preparation for operational clearance, and by mid 2005 had flown over 400 flights up to speeds of Mach 1.4. The Tejas light combat aircraft design and development programme is being led by the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) of the Indian Department of Defence with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) as the prime industrial contractor.

- Tejas, the smallest lightweight, multirole, single-engined tactical fighter aircraft in the world, is being developed as a single seat fighter aircraft for the Indian Air Force and also as a two-seat training aircraft. In November 2008, the Indian Air Force confirmed a requirement for 140 Tejas aircraft to equip seven squadrons.

- The design of a carrier-borne Tejas in single-seat and two-seat versions with a modified nose, strengthened landing gear and an arrestor hook was granted approval in 1999. The carrier variant has retractable canards and adjustable vortex control.

- The development programme for the carrier-borne versions was agreed by the Indian government in 2002 and the first flights of two prototype aircraft are scheduled for late 2009. The carrier variant may replace the fleet of Sea Harriers.

- The Indian Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) is carrying out a conceptual design study of the ADA medium combat aircraft, which will be an advanced, stealthy version of the Tejas, to replace the Indian Air Force Jaguar and Mirage 2000 fleet. The medium combat aircraft has two engines with fully vectoring nozzles and no vertical or horizontal tail.

- Delta planform design:

The aircraft is of delta planform design with shoulder-mounted delta wings. The aircraft has a fin but no horizontal tail. Lightweight materials including aluminium and lithium alloys, titanium alloys and carbon composites have been used in the construction. The wing structure includes composite spares and ribs with a carbon fibre-reinforced plastic skin.

- The National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL), based in Bangalore, has designed and is responsible for the manufacture of the fin and the rudder and the construction of the aircraft fuselage.

-   Tejas cockpit:

- The aircraft is fitted with a night vision compatible glass cockpit with Martin Baker (UK) zero-zero ejection seats.

The cockpit has two 76mm×76mm colour liquid crystal multi-function displays developed by Bharat Electronics, a head up display developed by the Indian government-owned Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO) in Chandigarh, a liquid crystal return-to-home-base panel and keyboard. The pilot also has a helmet-mounted display.


- The aircraft has a quadruplex fly-by-wire digital automatic flight control. The navigation suite includes Sagem SIGMA 95N ring laser gyroscope inertial navigation system with an integrated global positioning system.

- The communications suite includes VHF to UHF radio communications with built-in counter-countermeasures, air-to-air and air-to-ground data links and a HAL information friend-or-foe interrogator. The cockpit is fitted with an environmental control system developed by Spectrum Infotech of Bangalore. The avionics suite has an integrated utility health-monitoring system.

- Fighter weapons:

The aircraft has eight external hardpoints to carry stores, with three under each wing, one on the centre fuselage and one installed under the air intake on the port side. A 23mm twin barrelled GSh-23 gun with a burst firing rate of 50. rounds a second and muzzle velocity of 715m a second is installed in a blister fairing under the starboard air intake.

- The aircraft can be armed with air-to-air, air-to-ground and anti-ship missiles, precision-guided munitions, rockets and bombs. Electronic warfare, targeting, surveillance, reconnaissance or training pods can be carried on the hardpoints. Drop tanks can also be carried.

- In October 2007, the Tejas successfully test-fired the R-73 air-to-air missile. The Vympel R-73 (Nato codename AA-11 Archer ) missile is an all-aspect short-range missile with cooled infrared homing. The missile can intercept targets at altitudes between 0.02km and 20km, g-load to 12g, and with target speeds of up to 2,500km/h.

- Countermeasures:

The aircraft's electronic warfare suite, developed by the Advanced Systems Integration and Evaluation Organisation (ASIEO) of Bangalore, includes a radar warning receiver and jammer, laser warner, missile approach warner, and chaff and flare dispenser.

- Sensors:

The Electronics Research and Development Establishment and HAL have jointly developed the aircraft's multi-mode radar. The radar has multiple target search and track-while-scan and ground-mapping modes of operation. The radar incorporates pulse Doppler radar with Doppler beam shaping, moving target indication and look-up / look-down capability. The radar is mounted in a Kevlar radome.

- Turbofan engines:

- The prototype development aircraft are fitted with General Electric F404-GE-F2J3 turbofan engines with afterburn. Production aircraft will be fitted with one General Electric 85kN F404-GE-IN20 turbofan engine with full authority digital engine control. HAL placed an order for 24 F404-GE-IN20 engines in February 2007.

LSP-2 (limited series production 2) will be the first aircraft to be fitted with the engine. Flight trials with the production engine began in June 2008.

- It was planned that a new turbofan engine, the GTX-35VS Kaveri, under development by Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE), would be fitted to the production aircraft, but delays in development led to the purchase of the General Electric engines. Snecma-Larzac has been chosen as the industrial partner in the engine development.

- The Kaveri engine develops 52kN dry power and 80.5kN with afterburn. The aircraft will use multi-axis thrust vectoring nozzles. The engine has Y-duct air intakes.

- The aircraft has wing and fuselage tanks and an in-flight refuelling probe on the front starboard side. Drop tanks with a capacity up to 4,000l, can be carried on the inner and mid-board wing and fuselage centreline hardpoints.

     - Nabitnije TT karateristike aviona, mada je pitanje definitibne pogonske grupe i dalje otvoreno :

•   Max takeoff weight: 13,300 kg (29,540 lb),
•   Powerplant: 1 × General Electric F404-GE-IN20 turbofan,
-   Dry thrust: 53.9 kN (11,250 lbf),
-   Thrust with afterburner: 85 kN (19,000 lbf),
•   Internal fuel capacity: 2,458 kg,
•   External fuel capacity: 2x 1,200 litre drop tank at inboard, 1x 725 litre drop tank under fuselage.

   - Performance:

•   Maximum speed: Mach 1.8[86] (2,376+ km/h) at high altitude (15,000 m),
•   Range: 3,000 km (1,840 mi) without refueling,
•   Service ceiling: 15,250 m (50,000 ft (engine re-igniter safely capable),
•   Wing loading: 221.4 kg/m² (45.35 lb/ft²),
•   Thrust/weight: 0.91,
•   g-limits: +9/−3.5 g[87],

- The aircraft is fitted with a HAL gas turbine starter unit model GTSU-110.

- Tokom evolulicije, od  maksimalno postignutih 1,4 maha, danas je 1,8 maha proverena maksimalna brzina aviona.

- Interesantantan je i veliki dijapazon naouražanja koji LCA-TEJAS nosi u raznim konfiguracijama :

    - Armament :

•   Guns: 1× mounted 23 mm twin-barrel GSh-23 cannon with 220 rounds of ammunition.
•   Hardpoints: 8 total: 1× beneath the port-side intake trunk for targeting pods, 6× under-wing, and 1× under-fuselage with a capacity of 4000 kg external fuel and ordnance.

   - Missiles:

  - HAL Tejas carrying R-73 missile and Drop Tank.

  -    Air-to-air missiles and guided bombs as shown on Aero India 2011:

Najkraci put do ludnice!?Jednostavno,samo skrenes!

LCA nema velikih sansi jer je i kao koncept prakticno zamena za mig 21 i stoga su mu performanse ogranicene. Zamena mig-a 21 sa istim takvim avionom je promasaj. Iako se pokusava napraviti od njega kakav takav visenamenski avion jeste cedjenje suve cerovine. Projekat NA bivse nam drzave jeste bio za ovo space shutle.

E pa sad, kolike probleme imaju (još uvek Indijci), kolike probleme imali su Šveđani;ako ne bi NA bio više-manje licencni Rafal sa jednim motorom, najverovatnije direktno isporućen iz Francuske, tada bi i mi isto zaglibili ko Indijci. Uz sve dužno poštovanje do naučnika, koji su radili u JNA i povezanim firmama, ipak moramo biti realni i osvrnuti se na razvoj Orla. Bio je to predugačak put.
A kod fotki kokpita, valjda nisam jedini zapazio kompletno različite kokpite-jel postoji neko objašnjenje?

Iako se pokusava napraviti od njega kakav takav visenamenski avion jeste cedjenje suve cerovine. Projekat NA bivse nam drzave jeste bio za ovo space shutle.

- Koncepcijski i aerodizajnom MIG-21 i znatno napredniji LCA-Tejas mogu se porediti jedino malom veličinom. Mig-21 je stara aerodinimačka koncepcija , gde su praktično oko motora-zmaja  dodata delta krila sa velikim odnosom masa /potisak u korist potiska. MIG-21 Bison sa ugrađenom mnogo naprednijom avionikom i mogućnoću lansiranja i R-77 ( ali na istom aeroproprofilu), kao i kinesko-pakistanski J-7-F sa produženim strejkovima korena krila radi većeg uzgona i manevarbilnosti kao i kaplljastom -bubble kabinom su zadnji izdanci-derivati MIG-21 i verujem da je ovo zadnje što je  vezano za aeroprofil MG-21 i sam aparat  vidimo.

-  LCA, je aerodinimačiki dobro zagazio u 4.generaciju, sa primenjenim FBW, HOTAS, neuporedivo modernojom avionikom i svestranijom mogučmošću nošenja naoružanja o čemu sam govorio u prethodnim postovima.

-  Poštujem i uvažavam tuđa mišljenja ali lično nebih tako lako rekao da je LCA Tejas kao razvoj lakog multirola "ceđenje suve drenovine".  Kao epitet isti  bolje po meni stoji MIG-21 Bison i samom avionu MIG-21  uopšte koji broji zadnje dane na svetskom nebu.

-  Sem opcije ugradnje sopstvene pogonske grupe, svojevremeno razvijane sa Snecmom - Larrzac - ( Kaveri), kao i realne mogućnosti ugradnje G&E F-404, F-414  pa i EJ-200 koji pogoni Eurofighter, ugradnjom kompozita u zmaj aviona, opcijom biranja između istoćnog i zapadnog naoružanja ... na samom je HAL-u i Indiji je  da odluči kuda dalje!  Koliko znam, ukoliko Indija nešto nije promenila za kratko vreme, sem manjeg broja za mornaričku verziju, naručen je i solidan broj za kopneno vazduhoplovstvo.

-  LCA - Tejas odavno nije više prototip. Ima više stotina uspešnih letnih testiranja. Indija planira da sa LCA Tejas zameni veliki broj Sepecat Jaguara u svojoj floti. Velikom broju - navy Sea Hariera uskoro ističe svaki resurs. Tačno, Indija je naručila solidan broj MIG-29K navy za svoje potrebe ali je LCA Tejas potpuno koncepcijski različit u punom smislu reči moderan a mali (vezano za velićinu) multirol 4. generacije.

- Vidimo da i Pakistan u saradnji sa kinom  ubrano razvija i uvovodi JF-17 u svoju flotu (narućeno 50. aviona od kojih je gro JF-17 blok 2).

-  Takođe LCA Tejas je i stvar nacionalnog ponosa Indije i lično neverujem da će tek tako lako odustati od bilo kakve primene i proizvodnje HAL - LCA Tejas. Vreme će brzo pokazati realnost.

-  Takođe i indijsjski "decenejski" tender za novih 126. multirola ( vrlo brzo očekujemo dali je izbor pao na Eurofihhter ili Dassault Rafal) ide u prilog  daljem razvoju Tejas, jer se pruža mogućnost ugradnje još naprednije avionike.
- Na primeru Imdijskog SU-30 MKI vidimo podvešene i Damocles i Litening opto-reco-targeting podove kao i vesternizovanu avioniku i glaskokpit, tako da je danas miks zaadno-istične avionike i elektronike kao i naoružanja realna stvarnost i više nema faktora da kažem iskljućivosti ( "ili zapad ili istok" ) !

- Još jednom potenciram na unikatnom aerodinimačkom rešenju delta krila sa oštro sečenim strejkovima u samom korenu pod uglom od 45. stepeni. Isti aerodinimački princip vidimo i na napadnim ivicama PAK-FA , koji omogućuju sigurno opstrujavanje vazduha duž ose aviona i manevarbilnost kod velikih napadnih uglova. I F-18 sa motorima F-414 ima tzv. blokadu do 1,8 maha, što po meni nije neka mana niti se ista može po potrebi vezano za LCA Tejas i skloniti, mada velike nadzvučne brrzine nisu imperativ za Tejas.  U prethodnim postovima postavljen  je video link sa nastupa LCA Tejas na aero Indiji 2011. Agilnost, manevarbilnost, dovoljno snage-potiska i upravljivost kako na malim tako i velikim brzinama Tejasu je jača strana.
