Следећа три видеа показују да мали и неугледни заз има далеко веће теренске способности од ланд ровера који кошта 60.000 евра.


Na prvom videu se lepo vidi zašto je tako kako je. Zaporožec ima lance dok ima LR gume za asfalt, ne za blato. Tko je ikada vozio po terenu, zna da je dobra guma vrlo važna stvar.

ZAZ-966/968/968M

Oktobra 1961. godine ZAZ je lansirao novi model Zaporosca. Reč je o modelu 966.

Zasnovan na platformi prethodnika 965 Yalta, novi model odlikovao se produženom karoserijom na 3,73 metra, dok je za pogon bio zadužen veoma bučni, vazdušno hlađeni V4 agregat zapremine 900 ccm, koji je razvijao skromnih 27 KS. Karoserija auta imala je karakteristične dovode vazduha na zadnjim bocnim stranama za hlađenje motora, pod nazivom "uši"; otuda je ovaj automobil popularno nazvan „uszastij“.

Kao i njegov prethodnik, automobil je imao velike mogućnosti za prevazilaženje loše puteve - bolje nego druge sovjetski putnički automobili.
ZAZ-966 je nešto veći i udobniji od modela 965, sa većim prtljažnikom kroz različite profile prednjeg kraja. Nedostatak automobila, baš kao i prethodnog modela je bilo cesto pregrevanje motora tokom leta.

Model ZAZ-966 je proizveden od novembra 1966. godine do kraja 1972. godine (model za invalide do januara 1973).



Međunarodni sajam u Mađarskoj 1967. godine.
