Prinudno sletanje na Aljasci, treće ovakve vrste za ovaj tip aviona u poslednjih 6 meseci. ... An F-22 flying from Elmendorf Air Force Base and assigned to the 3rd Wing based there made an emergency landing that resulted in the jet coming to a rest on its side, with what appears to be one wing touching the ground.
The Air Force says a landing gear malfunction likely was the cause of an emergency landing of an F-22 Raptor fighter jet in Alaska.
The F-22 made the landing early Wednesday afternoon at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage.
The mishap is at least the third in just the last six months in which an F-22 suffered damage while landing.

Dakle, 29.septembra 2018. ispunilo se 28 godina od prvog leta YF-22, budućeg F/A-22 raptor. I do danas nisu objavljene stvarne karakteristike ovog epohalnog aviona.

Spominje se kolicina od 3 do 17 aviona koji su morali biti ostavljeni u bazi koju je pogodio uragan.
Navodno su avioni bili u raznim fazama odrzavanja i nije bilo dovoljno vremena da se osposbe za prelet.
F-22 su ostavljeni u najacim hangarima i za sada USAF neiznosi podatak o njihovom stanju a QF-16 (F-16 preradjen u bespilotne letelice / mete za raketiranje) suavioni sa narandzastim krajevima krila i vertikalaca koji se vide ostecen u hangarima.
