Odrzavanje stelta zashteva veliki broj radnih casova, sto u preventivnim pregledima sto u popravkama i odrzavanju.

A turbofan jet engine from the Pratt & Whitney F119-PW-100 for F-22 Raptor stealth fighter aircraft tested full afterburner at the Engine Test Cell Facility, commonly referred to as the "Hush House", Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska.

The F119-PW-100 engine delivers thrust in the 35,000 lbf (156 kN) class, and allows sustained supercruise speeds of up to Mach 1.8. The F119's nozzles incorporate 2D thrust vectoring technology that enable them to direct the engine thrust ±20° in the pitch axis to give the F-22 enhanced maneuverability.

U.S. Air Force members from the 340th EARS preform aerial refueling to a USAF F-22 Raptors over Northern Iraq on August 22, 2017. The Raptor's combination of stealth, aerodynamic performance, and situational awareness gives the aircraft unprecedented air combat capabilities.

How Air Force maintainers keep the F-22 cockpit from falling apart

The F-22 Raptor is known for its air dominance, but without maintenance, it wouldn't fly.

Although the F-22 entered the Air Force in 2005, airmen from the 15th and 154th Maintenance Squadrons continue to innovate how they keep the aircraft safe.

The U.S. Air Force was originally supposed to purchase 648 Raptors back in 1991, but ended up only ordering 195 due to fiscal constraints. While the military could always use more fifth-generation fighters stealthy F-22s and F-35s there are numerous issues that make such a decision to restart the F-22 production line problematic. Yet, for some reason, the Air Force appears to have engrossed itself in the doctrinaire mindset of transitioning all its fighter aircraft to an all-stealth fleet, no matter the price tag or externalities such a ham-fisted approach might do to undermine American airpower dominance in the future.

Svi ti nosači naoružanja u trupu deluju suviše komplikovanu u odnosu na jednostavke podvesne tačke na krilima.

Isplati li se STEALT tehnologija, po svaku cenu, posebno sada, kada savremeni radari bez nekih velikih poteškoća otkrivaju i takve avione.

"to turn blind eye on something" - правити се да нешто не видиш.
