Two troops injured when Marine Osprey crashes in Syria
Two service members were injured when a Marine MV-22B made a hard landing Friday in Syria, military officials said.
“The two were evaluated for non-life threatening injuries and quickly transported to a medical treatment facility, where they were seen and released,” the task force in charge of operations in Syria and Iraq announced on Friday. “The other passengers and crew on the aircraft were uninjured, and no other casualties were reported on the ground.”
The cause of the crash is under investigation, but no enemy fire was involved in bringing the Osprey down, officials said.
