Fotografija dela mornara koji su 7 maja 1943. potonuli zajedno sa čuvenom podmornicom Щ-408. Poginulo je ukupno 41 mornar zajedno sa kapetanom Pavelom KuzminomРовно 73 года назад 7 мая случился ее первый выход в море.

Российские дайверы нашли легендарную подлодку Щ-408, которой командовал Павел Кузьмин – советский подводник, почетный офицер ордена Британской империи.
В мае 1943 года экипажу Щ-408 был отдан приказ через минные заграждения выйти в Балтийское море. После обстрела немцами с воздуха лодку 3 дня преследовал финский минный заградитель с четырьмя сторожевыми катерами. Когда все аккумуляторы разрядились, маневрировать под водой стало невозможно. К концу подходили запасы воздуха. Экипаж мог сдаться в плен, но предпочел дать последний бой противнику. 2 часа перестрелки. 2 потопленных финских катера. С 41 моряком на борту Щ-408 затонула, не спустив военно-морского флага.
Павлу Кузьмину тогда было 29 лет. В 1944 году эдиктом короля Великобритании ему присвоено звание почетного офицера ордена Британской империи посмертно. [ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ] |
