Izvinjavam se na kasnom odgovoru, ali tek sada sam pogledao ove fotografije. Argentinci su time zadali auto-gol, jer su doveli britansko javno mnjenje do konsternacije, uprkos činjenici da su se strogo pridržavali svih pravila ratovanja. Zanimljivo je da su Argentinci prvo zauzeli lokalnu TV stanicu KTV, koja je počela da emituje argentinski ratni kanal 24 Horas Malvinas Argentinas.

London - Susret bivših protivnika [ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ] Od Falklandskog rata prošlo je trideset godina, ali čini se da rane polako zacjeljuju. Svojim susretom to su pokazali Neil Wilkinson, bivši britanski, i Mariano Velasco, bivši argentinski vojnik. Tijekom rata, Britanac je kao topnik na brodu HMS Intrepid oborio lovački zrakoplov Skyhawk kojim je upravljao Velasco. Misao o poginulom čovjeku opteretila je Wilkinsonovu savjest i godinama, iako je zapravo obavljao svoju dužnost, nije mogao prestati misliti na oboreni avion i čovjeka u njemu. No kad je 2007. vidio dokumentarac sa svjedočanstvom u kojem je Velasco ispričao kako je oboren i preživio, u njemu se probudila nada. Uspio je dobiti potvrdu i naposljetku se našao s Velascom u njegovu domu u Argentini. Susret je zabilježen na dokumentarcu koji je BBC prikazao 16. siječnja. Izvor: Hrvatski vojnik

Sretali su se oni i ranije! Na primer, pilot aviona koji je pogodio HMS "Sir Galahad" Carlos Cachon je postao prijatelj sa jednim od najtezih ranjenika sa tog broda, Simonom Westonom. Sada jedni drugom idu u goste, a Simon Weston je napisao jednu fenomenalnu knjigu o svom prvom susretu sa Cachonom.

Ko je pažljivo pogledao prethodna dva klipa, razumeo je da su Malvini stvar velikog patriotizma u argentini. Isto tako argentinski vojni i politički vrh ne mogu da se uporede sa onim iz 1982, tako da od svega toga nema ništa. S argentinske strane malo patriotske retorike kako bi predsednica bilo još omiljenija među narodom, a s britanske čisto da se pokaže da su jači. Da se dole sprema neki karambol, ne bi poslali princa Vilijama, jer je on ( posle svih gluposti koje je njegov tata napravio) najzad doneo pozitivnu sliku o monarhiji u UK.

Британци на Малвинска острва шаљу своје најбоље авионе и бродове:
заправо, авиони су одавно тамо

Међутим, то није новост. И 1984. после заузимања острава, базирали су за оно време, такође, савремени авиони
