Interesantno je da na američkim forumima često za ovaj avion većina kaže da je najbolji SAD ww2 lovac. Iako statistika daje prednost P-51 oni smatraju corsair-a boljim lovcem.

Ипак бих рекао да је П-51 бољи, али остављам Америма да оцењују, њихова су оба. Corsair је углавном "carrier borne" - палубни ловац, док Мустанг никад није коришћен на носачима. То је велика разлика у захтевима и условима употребе.
