"Croatian Pride" is a military exercise of an exceptional importance for Croatian participation in the mission ISAF that nowadays is the most demanding mission executed by members of the CAF. It represents the final and most important part of the preparations on the eve of the departure for Afghanistan. This time, members of the 15th Croatian contingent were in the exercise millstone and began with the exercise on 18 January, and preparations for it began months earlier. Although ?Pride? is a traditional exercise, this time new challenges set by the holder Croatian Army were placed before Guards Armoured Mechanized Brigade with units -co-workers and Director of the exercise Brigadier General Mladen Mikolčević.

The team of the 15th contingent, under command of Colonel Berislav Jezidžić, will shortly be deployed to one of the most dangerous world"s areas and they simply have to be ready for the most unexpected entanglements. Officially, the purpose of the exercise is final practice and certification/evaluation according to elements of CREVAL (evaluation of combat readiness) of all components of the 15th HRVCON and their constitutional elements and functions within NATO ISAF concept.

The exercise, according to scenario, was conducted as an Operation of response to crisis according to UN mandate, in complex multinational environment that demands joint operation of the army, police and humanitarian organizations. We saw how OMLT solves a situation in which they are attacked with firearms in an improvised village, then bomb and after that infantry attack on the operational base of our infantry, crime-investigation processing executed by Military Police, and extraction of a wounded soldier by helicopter?
