Gugle strit je cudo,  Grin nazalost nisu mu dali da vozi po aerodromu ali dosao je do kapije.
Ne izgledaju lose, nazalost ovo je najbolje sta se da izvuci.

Ovih dana sam se bavio proučavanjem nastanka i razvojem North American F-86. Htedoh da napravim neku stranicu za jedan članak o F-86D u JRV i PVO i tu nastade problem.

Prvo sam obrađivao verziju F-86L Sabre. Koristeći kao izvor:

i tako sam došao do saznanja da su svi F-86D, koji su konvertovani u F-86L ponovo dobijali nove oznake, ali zadržavali svoje serijske brojeve. Dakle:

"In the mid 1950s, it was decided to adapt the F-86D to the new SAGE system, and in 1956, 2192 conversion kits were ordered for the F-86Ds of the Air Defense Command (ADC). Under a project code-named Project Follow-On, starting in May of 1956, certain low-time F-86D interceptors were withdrawn one-by-one from service and fitted with the upgrade. This work was done at North American plants in Fresno and Inglewood, California. Following the upgrade, they were redesignated F-86L. All F-86L block designations were changed to reflect their original F-86D block numbers. The F-86D-10 to F-86D-45 became F-86L-11 to F-86L-46, but blocks 50, 55, and 60 just changed the type from D to L, that is, the F-86D-50 became F-86L-50."

S Obzirom da je oznaka serije "36-NA" i "41-NA" vezana za lovce-presretače "F-86L-36-NA" i  "F-86L-41-NA", te da se oni značajno razlikuju od  "F-86D-35-NA" i "F-86D-40-NA", molio bih autore tabelarnog pregleda, za razjašnjenje ove dileme.

Koliko je meni poznato, iz svih meni dostupnih domaćih dokumenata, ni jedan jedini F-86D koji je kupljen i uveden u naoružanje RV i PVO nije bio na standardu F-86L. Svi Dogovi koji su bili u našem naoružanju su imali standardnu elektroniku sa verzije D. Možda i jesu bili prepravljeni u verziju L, ali mislim da im je pre prodaje drugim zemljama sva naprednija elektronika skinuta. To je moje mišlljenje, ali možemo da zamolimo Bojana da da svoj komentar na ovo.

Koristio sam još neke knjižice, koje potvrđuju tvoja saznanja.
Dok se ne oglasi Bojan, da konstatujem, pa nek budem i demantovan, naši F-86D su dolazili iz operativnih jedinica (i jedinice ANG su takođe operativne) koje su posedovale konvertovane F-86D, dakle verziju F-86L sa "Semi-Automatic Ground Environment (SAGE)".

Postoji mogućnost da je pre slanja u naše RV, izvršeno re-konvertovanje u F-86D, tj, vraćanje elektronike na Hughes E-4 standard, a da je tom prilikom nastala oznaka F-86D-36-NA. odnosno F-86D-41-NA.

I sam sistem upravljanja vatrom "E-4" namenjen je pre svega sistemu oružja "Mighty Mouse" FFAR (Folding-Fin Aircraft Rockets), koji je bio visoko sofisticirana oprema u vreme svog nastanaka, pa je to začkoljica, koja omogućava oprečna mišljenja u vezi sa nabavkom ovog aviona u vreme "otopljavanja" odnosa sa SSSR-om.

Oznake aviona F-86D-11, -16, -21, -26, -31, -36 i -41 sistemska su promenjena oznaka za avione fabrike North American posle izvršenih modifikacija. Pa je naprimer F-86D-10 posle modifikacije označen kako F-86D-11.
Modifikacija u kojoj su se te oznake promenile izvršena je u 1953 godini u okviru projekta "Pull Up" sa kojim su sve ranije verzije aviona F-86D modificirali na standard F-86D-45. Modifikacija je izvršena u fabrici NA Fresno u Kaliforniji. Na ranijim verzijama u modifikaciji namestili su padobran za kočenje, promjenili mesto za prijem zemaljske energije na mesto ispod trupa (tek posle toga avion je naprimer bio u mogućnosti da bude u službi dežurne pare smeštene ispod pokrivenih stanica a sistem mu je omogučio, da se samostalno isklapa posle startanja aviona), namestili antene i sisteme AN/ANR14 i AN/ANR18, namestili sistem za električno odmrzavanje stakla kabine, na avionima prije serije -25 namestili su sistem za odbacivanje dodatnih tenkova za gorivo, itd. da ne nabrajam dalje sve razlike i modifikacije kod  pojedinih serija. Sve ukupno kroz taj program prošlo je 1128 aviona. Prije te modifikacije avion je predstavljao nočnu moru za mehaničare i logistiku.

U 1957 godini neki od tih avion prošli su još jednu modifikaciju (projekat SAGE) na standard F-86L (modifikacija na polu-automatsko navođenje na cilj pomoću radarskog sistema SAGE). Sve ukupno 452 aviona. U glavnom oni iz kasnijih serija. Oznaka tih aviona menjala se je na taj način, da su samo slovo D promjenili sa slovom L, a oznaka serije ostala je ista. Naprimer: F-86D-31 = F-86L-31, pa zbog toga možda dolazi do zabune oko tih oznaka serija. Avioni serije L upotrebljavali su se izvan Amerike jedinu u Tajlandu.
