Thank you for the info. You started another very interesting topic - Dakotas in JRV service. Like with F-47D's, there are many questions waiting to be answered about these aircraft.

Yes, one Dakota crashed unfortunately on Dec 2nd 1954. The aircraft in question was most probably from the last batch of 4 delivered from USAF.

This was both the first and last crash of a Dakota in JRV service. As your data mentioned, the remaining 19 Daks continued their service until they were wfu, probably during 70's.

Are the USAF numbers belonging to these aircraft mentioned anywhere in your data ?

Hi Marko

No, Statistical Reviews only mention amounts of money spend, number of aircraft (in various list as per total, per country, per type etc), delivery of aircraft (specified to a country, hours flown per type and per country and people trained.  And during the years these SR were produced, the format changed also, thus not always, I can tell all information.

Serial numbers must be found on the indivisual aircraft record cards (which I have seen some) or perhaps in MDAP/MAAG related correspondence. But that, I have never seen (yet...)..
