Iako nije u cvijetu mladosti, interesantan je pokazani hoverkraft - mali desantni brod "Zubr' ("Bizon"), projekt 1232.2 Od 1986.g. ukupno je izgradjeno 12 brodova, od toga 2 za grcku RM. Izgradjeni su u lenjingradskom, tj. sanktpeterburskom brodogradilistu Almaz (Dijamant). Ćale mi pričao da ga koriste pri prelasku Lamanša, i jedna stvar mi tu baš nije jasna. Razumem da on praktično i nema kontakt sa vodom, malte ne lebdi nad vodom. Šta mu čini pod? Jel ima nekih dodatnih motora u podu ili sve odrađuju ova glavna tri motora? U slučaju zubra on ima još dva motora za stvaranje pritiska. Evo i kako to izgleda:

- brod (i potisne ventilatore i ventilatore koji daju vertikalni uzgon) pokrecu visokotemperaturne plinske (gasne) turbine modela GTU M-70, ukupne snage 5 agregata x 10.000 KS, - za pokretanje broda koriste se 3 agregata - sto znaci da svaki ventilator ima svoj motor, - za postizanje uzgona (za podizanje broda na jastuku) sluze ostala 2 agregata koji pokrecu 4 vodoravno polozena ventilatora smjestena na palubi - svaki po 2,5 m promjera - isti se vide na jednoj od nize prilozenih fotografija, - zaliha goriva 56 t, - modernizacijom iz 2000 g.g zamijenjene su turbine i usavrsen materijal od kojeg je napravljen nepropusni pojas ispod broda (otporniji za visoku slanost juznih mora). Ovaj model desantnog hoverkrafta odoljeva valovima do 2 m, vjetru do 12 m/s, savladava cvrste prepreke do 1,6 m i strminu od 5%; najveci je brod te vrste na svijetu.
