Švajcarci su prvi eksperimentirali sa tenkovskim topom 140 mm, ali su odustali, pošto su nemci dobili najmanje iste rezultate sa topom 120 mm /L55. Ali vidi se, koliko potencijala/rezerve je još u šasiji leoparda 2.
