Modernizirani poljski PZL W-3PL Gluszec

Početkom veljače tvrtke AgustaWestland i PZL Swidnik dostavile su poljskim oružanim snagama prva četiri modernizirana višenamjenska helikoptera PZL W-3PL Gluszec. Modernizacija obuhvaća novi poboljšani sustav upravljanja helikopterom, FADEC (full authority digital engine control) sustav automatskog nadzora rada motora, instrumentaciju u pilotskoj kabini prilagođenu uporabi naočala za noćno gledanje uz nove višefunkcijske prikaznike, poboljšanu navigacijsku i komunikacijsku opremu te poboljšani pirotehnički obrambeni sustav s izbacivačima IC mamaca. U helikoptere su ugrađena poljska operativna iskustva i potrebe iz međunarodne vojne operacije ISAF (International Security Assistance Force) u Afganistanu. Uz to, Poljska razmatra modernizaciju preostale flote helikoptera PZL W-3 Sokol na standard PZL W-3PL Gluszec.

Helikopter PZL W-3PL Gluszec od naoružanja, na četiri vanjska nosača, može ponijeti kontejner s topom kalibra 23 mm, odnosno lansere (kompatibilne i s Hydrama) za nevođena raketna zrna kalibra do 70 mm. Uz to, ispod nosa ima turelu WKM-Bz-WS-4610 sa strojnicom kalibra 12,7 mm. Prema potrebi može služiti i kao laki transportni helikopter koji može ponijeti do 10 vojnika s opremom.
