F22A proglašen operativnim


Tri godine nakon pristizanja prvog aviona F-22A Raptor u vazduhoplovnu bazu Langley, avion je proglašen potpuno operativnim.

U Lengliju se nalazi 40 Raptora, rasporedjenih u 27. i 94. lovačku eskadrilu 1. lovačkog vinga. 80 pilota iz Lenglija, aktivnnih pilota i iz Nacionalne garde Virdžinije, leteli su na ovim avionima.

PS Naravno, očekujemo prvi "slučaj" obaranja još jednog u nizu stealth aviona Smiley

Mislim da se ovo već dogodilo prilikom jedne vežbe. Koliko se sećam, oborio ga je F-16 Sidewinder raketom. Naravno, pričamo o simulaciji vazdušne borbe, da neko ne pomisli da je stvarno oboren!  Grin Evo jedne zanimljivosti o ovom avionu:
Naime, on koristi izbacivo sedište tipa K-36D, koje proizvodi ruska kompanija "Zvezda".

Na zvaničnom sajtu kažu:

F-22 koristi unapredjenu verziju sedišta ACES II (Advanced Concept Ejection Seat) koje se koristi i u avionima F-16, F-117, F-15, A-10, B-1, B-2...

Da. Ne znam da li su na ovim novim serijama ugradili ACESII kao što piše, ali sećam se da sam u Aeromagazinu pročitao da je valjda nulta serija bila opremljena sa K-36D i da su bili vrlo zadovoljni rezultatima i da je planirano da i ubuduće budu opremani njima. Sad, vrlo je moguće da se to promenilo, jer je ovaj podatak od pre par godina, a i njihov lobi je previše jak da bi ponos njihovog vazduhoplovstva za vitalni deo imao protivnički proizvod. Sujeta je gadna stvar!  Grin

Trebalo je da bude K-36 sedište u F-22, ali se umešala politika. Ruski proizvođač Zvezda je čak oformio i malu američku kompaniju koja bi proizvodila sedišta, ali na kraju ništa od toga nije ispalo.

"The Russian K-36 ejector seat manufactured by NPP Zvezda is considered by many as the world's most advanced. It was studied at length by the US Navy and Airforce and IBP Aircraft opened up a factory in the US to manufacture it for the F-22 Raptor and the Joint Strike Fighter. The US Government however selected the Martin Baker seat from the UK in a political move for the new US fighters. The amazing capabilities of the K-36 were convincingly demonstrated at the Fairford Air Show on 24 July 1993 when the pilots of two MiG 29 fighters successfully ejected after a mid-air collision."

Inače, glavni razlog što su Amerikanci hteli K-36 je neverovatan procenat ruskih pilota koji su iskočili uz pomoć sedišta i vratili se da lete. Kod Rusa se taj postotak kreće oko 80%, dok je kod Amerikanaca i Britanaca tek oko 20% odsto. Brojke sam napisao po sećanju. Pokušaću da pronađem originalni tekst.

Moja greška... Procenat ruskih pilota koji su mogli da se vrate pilotiranju posle iskakanja sedištem je 97%!

In total, more than 12,000 K-36 ejection seats have been produced to date and no less than 97% of the airmen who have used them in an emergency have been able to continue their flying careers-the highest percentage in the aviation world.

Vrhunski američki avion Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor ima probleme sa održavanjem, potvrdili su poverljivi testovi  koje je Pentagon izveo. Prijavljeno je da metalna oplata aviona trpi velika oštećenja od kiše i drugih abrazija. Testovi su potvrdili da je potrebno provesti 30 sati u radu na avionu da bi moglo da se izvede pola sata leta ...

WASHINGTON, July 10 (UPI) -- The Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor, the top U.S. fighter jet, has been experiencing major maintenance shortcomings, confidential Pentagon test results indicate.

The jet's metallic skin is reportedly the principal cause of its maintenance troubles, with unexpected problems such as vulnerability to rain and other abrasions.

Recent tests have required more than 30 hours of maintenance for every hour of flight, The Washington Post says, quoting government reports. Such maintenance demand is said to push the plane's hourly cost of flying to more than $44,000, far higher than for the warplane it replaces.

Citing figures from last October to May, the U.S. Defense Department says that an average of just 55 percent of the deployed F-22 fleet has been available to fulfill missions guarding U.S. airspace and the advanced aircraft has never been flown over Iraq or Afghanistan.

The fighter's problems are emerging in the middle of a fight between the Obama administration and the Democratic-controlled Congress over whether the program should be halted next year at 187 planes, far short of the total production expected.

The F-22 does have its backers. Some defense officials emphasize the fighter's unsurpassed flying abilities, are optimistic the troubles will abate, and say the plane is worth the unexpected costs.

Obama zapretio da će staviti veto na vojni budžet

Američki predsednik Barak Obama zapretio je da će staviti veto na vojni budžet za narednu godinu ukoliko Senat iz njega ne izbriše stavku o trošenju 1,75 milijardi dolara za kupovinu sedam novih lovaca F-22.

Kako objašnjava "Njujork tajms", Obama je bio prinuđen na ovaj potez pošto su i neki senatori iz njegove, Demokratske stranke podržali kupovinu aviona, uz obrazloženje da će to omogućiti da se sačuva jedan broj dobro plaćenih radnih mesta, što će, opet, pozitivno uticati na ekonomiju koja je u krizi.

Među njima su i uticajni demokratski senatori Edvard Kenedi i Džon Keri iz Masačusetsa, države u kojoj se proizvode komponente za "Lokid Martinov" avion.

U pismu senatskom Odboru za oružane snage, Obama je istakao da će staviti veto na zakon o izdvajanju 680 milijardi dolara za obranu u idućoj godini, "ako on bude predviđao nabavku većeg broja lovaca F-22 od 187, koliko se već finansira".

"Ne trebaju nam ti avioni... to je rasipanje dragocenih sredstava koje treba korisnije upotrebiti i dati našim jedinicama oružje koje im je potrebno", istakao je Obama u pismu.

Ministar obrane Robert Gejts, koji je u aprilu predložio okončanje više programa naoružanja, ukljucujuci F-22, i šef zdgruženog generalštaba vojske, admiral Majk Malen takođe su pisali poslanicima, ističući da će i bez dodatnih F-22 koje traže zagovornici nastavka proizvodnje, SAD imati oko 2.500 modernih lovaca do 2020. godine.

Njujorški list podseća da je F-22 najskuplji svetski mlazni lovac (košta oko 350 miliona dolara) i da je najpoznatiji oružani sistem čiju proizvodnju Obama želi da ukine ili smanji kako bi smanjio vojne troškove.
"Lokid Martin" zapošljava 25.000 ljudi i ima snabdevače opremom u 44 od 50 američkih država.

Zaustavljena proizvodnja F-22


Američki Senat u utorak je glasovao protiv dodatnog financiranja jednog od najprotuslovnijih i najskupljih vojnih programa u SAD-u - lovca presretača F-22.

Senat se izjasnio protiv izdvajanja 1,75 milijardi dolara u proračunu za 2010. godinu za dodatnih sedam zrakoplova F-22. Za to je glasovalo 58 zastupnika a 40 je bilo protiv.

Kongres je prvotno uključio novac za taj program u proračun, unatoč inzistiranju predsjednika Baracka Obame i ministra obrane Roberta Gatesa da dodatni zrakoplovi nisu potrebni i da ih oružane snage ne traže.

Glasovi nisu podijeljeni po uobičajenom stranačkom svrstavanju, jer program F-22 ima pristaše među zastupnicima obje stranke, a najviše iz saveznih država u kojima se proizvode dijelovi tog zrakoplova.

Prema Gatesovu prijedlogu proračuna Pentagona za 2010., proizvodnja F-22 bila bi ograničena na 187 zrakoplova. Pentagon umjesto toga želi proizvesti 500 modernijih, višenamjenskih zrakoplova F-35 u idućih pet godina, a 2.400 ukupno.

Odluka je naišla na snažno protivljenje u Kongresu.

U sukobljavanju s Kongresom, Obama je zaprijetio vetom na cijeli zakon o vojnom proračunu, ako bude uključivao sredstva za dodatne F-22.

Zrakoplov proizvođača Lochheed Martina, prosječne cijene oko 350 milijuna dolara, donedavno je tražio više od 30 sati održavanja za svaki sat leta, što je cijenu njegovog letenja podiglo na 49.808 dolara na sat, izvijestio je početkom srpnja The Washington Post.

Prošlogodišnji testovi su pokazali da između dvaju kritičnih kvarova tijekom leta F-22, u prosjeku prođe samo 1,7 sati.

Metalna oplata zrakoplova, koja apsorbira radarske valove i čini ga "nevidljivim", glavni je izvor problema s njegovim održavanjem, s neočekivanim nedostacima kao što je primjerice osjetljivost na kišu, što je problem od sredine 1990-ih, navodi Post.

Zbog teškoća s održavanjem, od listopada 2008. do svibnja ove godine, samo 55 posto od razmještene flote F-22 bilo je sposobno za misiju čuvanja zračnog prostora SAD-a, priznao je Pentagon. Niti jedan F-22, najsuvremeniji lovački zrakoplov na svijetu, nikada nije korišten u ratovima u Iraku i Afganistanu.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The Senate voted Tuesday to block expansion of one of the country's most controversial and expensive defense programs, the F-22 fighter jet program.

 The vote gave the White House and Pentagon a key victory over congressional supporters of the F-22, many of whom represent states and districts where jobs are tied to the production of the jet.

The vote, which stripped $1.75 billion for an additional seven F-22s from the fiscal year 2010 budget, was a reversal of an earlier Senate committee decision to include money for the program. The change came in a response to strong pressure from President Obama, Defense Secretary Robert Gates and several key senators who argued that the additional planes are not needed or wanted by the military.

The 58-40 vote, which did not break down along typical partisan lines, was the culmination of a classic confrontation between the president and Congress over who is the best judge of the country's military needs.

"At a time when we're fighting two wars and facing a serious deficit, (expanding the F-22) would have been an inexcusable waste of money," Obama said shortly after the vote.


 "Every dollar of waste in our defense budget is a dollar we can't spend to support our troops or prepare for future threats or protect the American people."

Under the 2010 budget proposed by Gates, production of the F-22 would be halted at 187 planes. The Pentagon instead wants to produce 500 of the more modern F-35 planes over the next five years and 2,400 over time.

The decision was met with strong opposition in Congress. With the F-22 being manufactured in or getting supplies from 44 different states, the plane gets broad support from congressmen and senators on both sides of the aisle.

One of the leading proponents for keeping the F-22 program is Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R-Georgia, whose state is home to the factory that assembles the jet. On Tuesday, Chambliss defended his support, arguing that Congress should not just rubber stamp spending decisions by the Pentagon.

"Our interest and involvement in these issues is appropriate and not just based on parochial issues," Chambliss said.

Underscoring the drama, Obama threatened to veto the entire defense budget if it included money for the F-22.

Chambliss noted that there has been a "flurry" of lobbying by the White House and Defense Department.

"I've never seen the White House lobby like they've lobbied on this issue," Chambliss said. "It's been unparalleled."

Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona, also acknowledged the intensity of the dispute during the final Senate debate.

"This amendment is probably the most impactful amendment that I have seen in this body on almost any issue, much less the issue of defense," McCain said on the Senate floor.

"It really boils down to whether we're going to continue [the] business as usual of once a weapons system gets into full production it never dies, or whether we're going to take the necessary steps to really reform the acquisition process in this country."

The Lockheed Martin jet has never been used in Afghanistan or Iraq, but supporters contend it is needed to fight more sophisticated enemies who might confront the United States in the future, such as China or Russia.

They also note the thousands of jobs that will be lost if the F-22 program is halted.

"We put that many jobs at risk, not because the industry is failing, not because it is a bad piece of aircraft, but because the secretary of defense and the administration have decided this program isn't worthy of our support. So explain to those 90,000 people, once they lose their jobs and get laid off," said Democratic Sen. Christopher Dodd.

The F-22 engine is made in Dodd's home state of Connecticut.

"Terminating production, like closing a base, involves economic loss for communities involved," Levin said. "But we must do so from time to time, and make these difficult decisions based on what is best for the nation and what is best for the men and women of the armed forces."

Gates has maintained that more jobs will be created in F-35 production than will be lost in stopping the F-22. He said 11,000 jobs will be lost by halting the F-22, while it is anticipated that 82,000 jobs will be created by the F-35.

 Gates said Monday he'd heard no "substantive" argument for keeping the jet for national security reasons, pointing out that China has no planes that can compete with the more than 1,000 advanced fighter jets the U.S. will have by 2020.

Gates said that the gap between the two countries' aerial arsenals will only widen.

Poslednji F-22A Raptor sišao sa proizvodne trake



14.12.2011.

Lockheed Martin je završio proizvodnju i poslednjeg naručenog aviona F-22A Raptor, koji je sišao sa montažne trake 13. decembra. Iako nije ofarban, već je dobio oznaku "AK" svoje buduće jedinice, 525. lovačke eskadrile trećeg vinga baze Elmendorf-Ričardson na Aljasci.

ROLLING OFF the Lockheed Martin production line in Marietta, Georgia, on December 13 was the last F-22A Raptor to be built for the US Air Force, serial number 10-4195. Although still unpainted, the aircraft already carried the 'AK' tail code of its future unit, the 525th Fighter Squadron of the 3rd Wing at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska.
After completion of company and government test flights, the aircraft will be painted and delivered to the 525th FS in May 2012, becoming the unit's new 'flagship.' The new aircraft is the 187th production Raptor, following on from eight development airframes, making a production total of 195 aircraft.

After completion of company and government test flights, the aircraft will be painted and delivered to the 525th FS in May 2012. Pola godine od završetka jednog aviona do uvođenja u operativnu upotrebu. Aferim, gospodo, pa makar koštao i 250miliona $ po komadu. Nije avion razarač tipa DDG -51.

Ono što je trebalo da bude ponos američkog ratnog vazduhoplovstva i najskuplji avion u istoriji vojske SAD pokazalo se kao - veliki promašaj. Iako je američko ratno vazduhoplovstvo koristilo avione “F-22 raptor” samo u probnim misijama, njihovi piloti su doživeli čak sedam velikih nesreća, a dvojica su poginula.

Kontroverzni borbeni avion F-22, koji je proizvela koporacija “Lokid Martin”, u upotrebi je od 2005. godine, ali zbog čestih kvarova nikada nije učestvovao u borbama, uprkos izobilju prilika u ratovima u Iraku, Avganistanu i Libiji.

 

"Raptor" je spoj najnaprednije "stelt" tehnologije (nevidljivi avioni), najsavremenijih senzora, najboljeg raketnog naoružanja i - najozbiljnijih problema. Zbog njih je program i okončan, a poslednji primerak je iz fabrike u Marijeti, u državi Džordžija, izašao 13. decembra.

 

Prošle nedelje je objavljen izveštaj Američkog ratnog vazduhoplovstva (USAF) o brojim mukama s "raptorom".

 

U novembru 2010. jedan F-22 se srušio severno od Enkoridža, Aljaska. Kapetan Džef Hejni je pokušao da spreči najgore, ali mu je prekinuto snabdevanje kiseonikom. Njegov avion se prevrnuo i udario u planine, a 31-godišnji Hejni je poginuo.

 

Bilo je i problema sa softverom koji je koristio, lošim sistemom odvođenja vode iz kokpita, zbog čega je rđao čelik, što je pak avion činilo vidljivim na radarima.
 

I pre pada aviona na Aljasci, piloti su se žalili da im sistem za snabdevanje kiseonikom slabo radi, zbog čega imaju simptome kao što su vrtoglavica i slabost. Celokupna flota aviona F-22 zbog toga nije letela čitavih pet meseci, a i kada je zabrana leta ukinuta, istražitelji i dalje nisu imali odgovore na pitanje otkuda kvarovi.

 
Dostiže brzinu veću od brzine zvuka bez upotrebe komore dogorevanja, što mu omogućava da leti brže i dalje

 

Prema izveštaju Američkog ratnog vazduhoplovstva, od sredine septembra, kada je zabrana ukinuta, zabeleženo je još 14 slučajeva problema pilota koji su možda bili uzrokovani nedostatkom kiseonika.
 

Prema izveštaju USAF, svaki od ovih gizdavih aviona sa krilima u obliku dijamanta košta 143 miliona dolara. Ako se tome dodaju troškovi usavršavanja, istraživanja i razvoja, procenjuje se da svaki F-22 američke poreske obveznike košta 412 miliona dolara.
