African Union & IGAD back Ethiopian PM on Tigray war

African Union and IGAD seem to be backing Ethiopian government's position on ongoing military operation in Tigray region of Ethiopia. IGAD's meeting held in Djibouti yesterday failed to condemn human rights abuses in Tigray region. African Union Commission Chairperson Moussa Faki Mahamat too participated in IGAD meeting . He backed military operation in Tigray. Neither African Union commission chairperson nor IGAD's joint communique said a word about war crimes in Tigray region, which are being reported  by several international news outlets.

Sudan-Ethiopia talks on border fighting fail

Sudan-Ethiopia talks on border tensions have failed. Sudanese and Ethiopian delegations have been holding negotiations in Sudanese capital Khartoum  about volatile situation along Ethiopia-Sudan border. Today the talks ended without reaching an agreement. Reportedly Sudan does not want to discuss current situation on Sudan-Ethiopia border; it wants to discuss only demarcation issues. Since last Tuesday, Sudanese forces have been pushing  back Ethiopian militia members and farmers from Al Fashqa farms of El Gedaref state and reportedly Sudan army has taken control of several key areas near Ethiopian border.

Etiopija šalje vojsku u zapadni region Benišangul-Gumuz
