Bienvenue nox. Dommage que les petites photos, voici quelques unes qui n'ont jamais été publiés dans la région.

Est-il possible de les voir en plus grand format?  Smiley

Beaucoup de choses nous n'avons pas eu la chance de voir.

I try to classify R35 by french renault registration.
If you identify one, don't hesitate.
For ex-yugoslavian reused by germans, I don't understand why they kept registration on hull.
I think that they didn't repaint R35 in grey and reused in yugoslav green.
7 SS Prinz Eugen repainted their R35 in grey but painted original registration on exhaust muffler like n°4988 and 4998.

Some R35 were classified with caption of the seller like Youg.R35.03

Idem for some FT17 like Youg.FT17.05-06-07-08 classified with seller infos.

Dear Nox

the identification of the M15+PzKw38 turret was brilliant, and it is a quite a pleasure to find out such unique vehicle!

Concerning Renault R-35 in German use after the capture from Yugoslav Army, they were only used by PzKp 12 zu bV 1941-1945.
Armoured unit of the SS Prinz Eugen did not operated those vehicles. On the collection of the Renault R35 photoes, that You have posted, all of them that which were taken in combat in Bosnia 1942, belonged to the 12.PzKp which have dispatched its VII-XII platoon to support the anti partisan operations there.
For me was unusuall why the Germans marked the Hotchkiss tanks with numbers that were continuation of the ex-Yugoslav numbers, such it was practice in SS div P.Eugen.

I am not the discoverer, it's another french man.

These R35 are often identified as 7SS Prinz Eugen , men around Afv are SS.
You are right, Prinz Eugen use 17x PzKpf B2 on 31 may 1943, transfered to Pz.Kp.z.b.V.12 in exchange for 9x H38 in August 1943.
No R35.

Only Pz.Kp.z.b.V.12 have 22 R35 on 31 may 1943 in this area.

It is puzzle for me why the SS waffen officers are around, and also why the tanks have the refelctor, as it was practice later through 1943 with Hotchkiss tanks in SS PE division.
Pz Kp 7 have in 1942 Char B.2, but I do not believe that they were transffered with the division to Croatia in January 1943, and they did not participated in the combat with partisans since February 1943.

Now I am throwing out for a disscusion> It could be a possibility that Pz Kp 7 received some R-35 in Serbia, prior to planned huge engagement against partisans, moved to Croatia in January (as on known photes), but exchanged them for Hotchkiss there? Since they later in 1943 operated only H-38 tanks.
