Izrael će nadograditi oklopne transportere Achzarit

Izraelske obrambene snage spremne su za prihvat još 100 teških oklopnih transportera Achzarit sa novim motorima.
Američko ministarstvo obrane priopćilo je 29. travnja kako će kroz program FMS pokriti isporuku 100 paketa motora i 100 paketa za nadogradnju transmisije "u potpori naporima za popravak i nadogradnju izraelskih teških oklopnih transportera Achzarit."

Vrijedan ugovor od USD16 milijuna, dodijeljen američkoj tvrtki Diesel Engineering Inc, a njegov završetak se očekuje do listopada 2017. Ovaj ugovor je usljedio nakon ugovora iz 2010. vrijednog USD20.8 milijuna kada je Diesel Engineering Inc isporučio veliki broj kompleta motora za nadogradnju, transmisiju te sustave hlađenja za izraelske Achzarit APC.
